Fundraising for the Department of Contemporary Art Practices

December 29, 2022 Fundraising for the Department of Contemporary Art Practices As the year comes to an end, we have an example of successful fundraising and solidarity from the friends of the Department of Contemporary Art Practices at LNAA. The head of the department, Daryna Skrynnik-Myska, and Yaryna Shumska successfully attracted donors who contributed over 2,200 euros (87,000 UAH) for the Charity Foundation “Friends of LNAA”. The donated monies were used in part, to pay for five instructors who taught courses in the recently launched Master’s program in Contemporary Art Practices. Remaining funds were used to pay for media equipment (projector and television), which are used for teaching and showcasing student works. We urge LNAA graduates to get involved in the life of their departments and where possible, contribute financially for a specific need. In the comments section of your payment, you can specify which department or project should get the benefit of your donation.

Charity Foundation Friends of LNAA launches an art collection

October 2, 2022 Charity Foundation Friends of LNAA launches an art collection. In October 2022 our Charity Foundation established a process for collecting art whose ultimate purpose is to support the goals of the Foundation. Ukrainian artists can contribute their works to the collection which will be displayed and eventually sold. The initial contributor is the renowned artist Anton Kovach, who is also an alumnus of the Academy. His works are held in museums and private collections in Ukraine and abroad, and now one of his paintings is part of the Friends of LNAA collection. The art collection has many goals: an opportunity for established artists to showcase their works and contribute to the development of the Academy; for young and emerging artists an opportunity to exhibit their works perhaps for the first time in Ukraine as well as a chance for them to collaborate with renowned artists, and importantly; the sale of artworks will support the programs of the Foundation. We invite artists, alumni and friends of LNAA to participate.
