Renovate Shelter of the LNAA

October 22, 2023 Renovate Shelter of the LNAA On October 22, 2023, the official opening of the «Ukryttya». This marks the beginning of a space that, since the onset of the full-scale invasion, served as a secure refuge from missile strikes. Thanks to our patrons, it now presents itself as an art center open to various forms of art and other recreational activities. The convenient and secure space features a kitchen, small rooms for interaction among academy students and faculty, equipped with TVs and projectors, as well as two large lecture halls: the black hall and the grand hall. These spaces will host exhibitions, lectures, film screenings, workshops, musical events, including individual training sessions and coffee conversations. It serves as a platform for both students and the general public, as well as a narrow professional circle of experts, including teachers. This combination of formal and informal education spaces allows for self-expression and the generation of bold ideas for collaboration, fostering innovative thinking in students and making it interesting for visitors. During the summer alarms, not only construction workers finishing the shelter and local residents seek refuge there but also the students of the Academy during their summer break. In August, the Student Council of LNAA organized a workshop for making trench candles on the premises of the newly acquired lecture halls. However, the alarm reached the students even here. Nevertheless, they remain undeterred. Therefore, the Shelter provided Sophie Kozlovska with the opportunity to continue the masterclass on creating light and warmth for our Heroes.
