April 5, 2025 LNAA Dormitory Renovation The dorm is an essential part of student life. Renovation started back in 2022 and continues to this day to make the space more comfortable and functional. In 2024, hot water was installed in kitchens in the left wing. We added induction stoves, sinks, and work tables. Thanks to IKEA Ukraine’s support, the dorm received new furniture—chairs and desks. Improvements are ongoing as we work toward a more comfortable student space.

January 11, 2024 55 Students Received Assistance from the NGO «Volunteering and Protection Center» Back in October of last year, we reached out to the charitable organization «Volunteering and Protection Center» with a request to support the students of the Academy who live in the dormitory and need assistance. This includes internal migrants, students who lost parents on the front lines, those whose parents are currently serving, students with disabilities, and orphans. In response, they all received humanitarian kits containing essentials: food, cosmetics, and household chemicals. Thanks to the Charity foundation «Friends of the Lviv National Academy of Arts» which organized the delivery of the kits and their distribution on-site, each student received a set personally. We appreciate the effective cooperation with the NGO «Volunteering and Protection Center»! We value your work and attention to the needs of others. *«Volunteering and Protection Center» is a humanitarian hub with logistic centers in Ukraine and Poland, helping Ukrainian civilians and medical institutions. The center started operating immediately after the full-scale invasion as a volunteer movement. Since April 2022, it has been working on projects in humanitarian, medical, and construction directions as a charitable organization.

January 17, 2023 Improving Living Conditions for Students in the LNAA Dormitory Thanks to financial support from the German city of Würzburg, we have successfully provided hot water to all nine floors of the Academy’s dormitory. Additionally, we have completely renovated the bathrooms on two floors: installed shower cabins, new sinks, and toilets. Previously, access to showers was only available in the basement of the dormitory. In addition, kitchen repairs are underway. Currently, 400 students reside in the dormitory. Over the past two years, extensive reconstruction has been ongoing to improve living conditions for them. All renovation work is organized by the Charity Fundation «Friends of the Lviv National Academy of Arts». By the way, recently, Mayor of Würzburg Christian Schuchardt visited the Academy, where, among other things, he toured the renovated premises of the dormitory, which were repaired with the city’s funds.  So, thanks for the financial support to our German partners, and we hope for further cooperation.

April 25, 2023 LNAA students have access to a psychologist Thanks to the donations from our friends and partners, the Foundation has renovated and equipped a comfortable space for students to meet with a psychologist. The mental health of our students is important and we are grateful for the financial support provided by our donors in support of our students.

March 6, 2023 Renovation of LNAA student dormitory has commenced The renovation work will proceed progressively and includes: creation of a new communal spaces, a new food preparation area and space for meals, new bathroom facilities, electrical rewiring and pipe replacement. The renovation work was made possible by financial assistance from the municipality of Würzburg, Germany, in partnership with the “City Institute”, which together contributed 49,663 Euro (1,974,613 UAH). The Academy is thankful for their significant financial support. Students will have new comfortable spaces for their enjoyment.
