May 24, 2024 Alumni Meeting 2.0 The Charity Foundation «Friends of LNAA» is gathering friends once again on June 14 at 3:00 PM at the main square in front of the Academy. This is a wonderful opportunity to come together, reminisce about unforgettable moments of student life, share your achievements, and simply enjoy the time with friends and professors. We would be delighted to see you at this special event! Please confirm your participation by filling out the form via the provided link. You can also register on-site prior to the event. The recommended donation for participation is 100 UAH (optional). By paying the registration fee, registered participants will receive a numbered bracelet and be eligible to participate in the prize draw. All collected funds will be directed towards establishing a named scholarship to cover tuition fees for students in need: «From Alumni to Students». May 1, 2024 Friends of LNAA x Respublika Sadu We’re excited to share about an incredible and, most importantly, tasty collaboration with Respublika Sadu. Respublika Sadu is a cozy cafe in the heart of Lviv with a history that touches everyone.  Since August 2023, Respublika Sadu has been donating proceeds from #GoodFood every month to charitable initiatives, and this month they are supporting the Charity Foundation «Friends of LNAА». Throughout May, indulge in crunchy asparagus and radishes on a pillow of carrot-orange hummus at 20a Vynnychenka Street.  The proceeds will be directed to the scholarship program by Friends of LNAA! April 4, 2024 Awarding Certificates from the Charity Foundation «Friends of LNAА» On April 4 a solemn certificate award ceremony was held at the LNAA Gallery, marking a special moment for our entire team. After completing all stages of selection, including application submissions, interviews, and finding patrons, we eagerly awaited this day. It was filled with joy, smiles, and happy faces, with whom we had already become friends and shared their emotions. This semester, thanks to the generosity of our patrons, we were able to provide financial support to 26 students, covering their tuition fees and part of their living expenses. This will help them continue their creative journey without worrying about financial difficulties. The reactions of our scholarship recipients, who hugged, jumped, and cried with joy, deeply moved us the night before, filling us with a great mood for the entire day. The certificate award ceremony is not just a formal procedure; it’s also an opportunity to share our joy and support with our students. Starting from the inspiring speeches of Rector Vasyl Kosiv and President of the Foundation Oleksiy Cherednychenko, and ending with congratulations, we felt that we had become part of one big family.

February 6, 2024 Charity Lottery by the Canadian-Ukrainian Foundation Recently, thanks to a charity lottery in Toronto, we managed to raise $1,600 for scholarships for Academy students provided by the charity fundation «Friends of LNAA». The initiative was organized by the Canadian-Ukrainian Art Foundation during an exhibition of Ukrainian artists titled «Together We Are One». The idea to conduct the lottery was suggested by the Ukrainian artist Nadia Voloshchuk, who donated her work ‘Wings’ for this purpose. Also, the icon painter and associate professor of the Department of Sacred Art at the Lviv National Academy of Arts, Kost Markovich, joined the campaign with his icon ‘Angel of Victory.‘ Both works became lots for the charity event. We thank the Canadian-Ukrainian Art Foundation for organizing the event, the artists who donated their works, and the donors who participated in the lottery. We appreciate your contribution to the development of young artists at the Academy. In total, the Canadian-Ukrainian Art Foundation transferred $3,000 to the charity fundation «Friends of LNAA»

January 8, 2024 Scholarship Program for LNAA Students open We are starting the new year with an important initiative! Today marks the launch of the application process for the scholarship program for students of the Lviv National Academy of Arts. Who can participate in the program? Students from privileged categories who require charitable support in the form of partial or full payment of tuition and/or accommodation in the dormitory. What do you need to do? Familiarize yourself with the details and complete the Google Form at the following link. The deadline for submitting applications is until February 1, 2024

November 20, 2023 Ceremony for the Awarding of Certificates to Some students On November 20, a ceremonial presentation of certificates took place for some of our scholarship recipients! The reception hall of the rector was filled with excited and smiling faces.  Promising artists and future cultural figures were given the opportunity to quench their thirst for knowledge. Six students received charitable support, totaling 106,392.00 UAH.  The generous support from donors enables students to cover their tuition at the Academy and accommodation in the dormitory. We wish everyone success in their studies and express gratitude to the patrons for their crucial role in the development of art education. October 4, 2023 Fundraising Auction in Canada by Friends of LNAA Holy Eucharist Ukrainian Catholic Cathedral and artist volunteers from Ukraine present the Ukrainian project «Art of Survival» in Canada! A collection of artworks from artists across the country and students from the Lviv National Academy of Arts has been curated. All the works have been provided for a charitable auction to join the fight of the Ukrainian people and provide assistance during challenging times. The auction will take place on November 4-5, 2023, in New Westminster (Canada). The fundraising goals are as follows: Supporting students of the Lviv National Academy of Arts. In 2023, the Charitable Foundation «Friends of LNAA» received 41 applications from students of LNAA who have been affected by the war and cannot afford tuition. To help each of them, 900,000 UAH is needed. Meeting the needs of the Ukrainian Armed Forces — specifically the 101st Brigade, 70th Battalion, which is actively engaged in combat operations in the Kup’yans’k direction. By uniting with friends of Ukraine abroad, we strive to support our defenders, working towards the fight and victory!

March 15, 2023 A further 7 Scholarships have been awarded “Friends of LNAA” Charity Foundation wishes to announce that another 7 students will receive financial support to cover their living needs, accommodation and faculty fees. The Scholarship program is a key initiative of the Foundation which was established to help students that have been variously affected as a result of the ongoing war. The Scholarship program would not be possible without the ongoing support of our donors and we thank them for their generosity.

January 20, 2023 LNAA announces that it has awarded its first scholarships LNAA has provided scholarships to 23 students of the Academy. The scholarships will provide for the basic living needs, accommodation and tuition of students while they are studying at the Lviv National Academy of Arts. LNAA focussed on those students who had the greatest need for financial assistance due to the war. Some have been orphaned and others displaced. Friends of LNAA Foundation together with the Kozytsky Charitable Fund and philanthropists from Canada, and other donors made the payment of these scholarships possible. Our foundation continues to focus on those students who have the greatest need for assistance to ensure that they receive a quality education. We are grateful to everyone that has contributed to our scholarship program and look forward to continuing our partnership.
